The Teacher-Researcher in Space, Time, and Ethical Commitment
I created this illustration after reflecting on the ideas of Ted Aoki, Carl Leggo, Sandra Styres, and the Martins--Buber and Heidegger--in EDCP 562. I see myself in it, holding a space for Shared Understanding (Commitment? Creation? Action? Dialogue?) along with the professionals (and children and other humans in my life) with whom I interact. I'm the one on the left with the hair. This illustration is the focal point of this reflective activity in which I will probe my identity as a teacher-researcher through time, space, and ethical commitments. History and Journey: Myself in Time The iridescent energy streams shooting out of my feet are symbolic of the paths of personal history and professional journey that constitute my past.
